According to the National Science Foundation, African American women receive only 5% of Science and Engineering bachelor's degrees awarded in the US.

How you can help

Our STEM Education Resource Center creates free science lesson plans and other useful materials for teachers. By providing resources and role models, we welcome minority women into science education and encourage them to pursue science and engineering careers. Currently, 80 percent of teachers using our materials are in the United States and 20 percent are in other countries.

Science Connected is transforming science education and nurturing scientific research. They provide free STEM education, encourage women and low-income students in the sciences, and provide free public access to the latest scientific news and discoveries.
