How you can help

Capture for the pet trade has created a global threat to many parrot species, additionally new owners underestimate parrot's longevity, amount of care and attention need to sustain happy and enriching avian lives. At the Landing Zone Parrot Sanctuary in Thousand Palms, California, over 110 re-homed parrots from across the United States have found permanent residency and their forever home.

About this nonprofit

The Landing Zone Parrot Sanctuary provides a life-long home for all needy parrots. No resident parrot will be needlessly released, sold, or put to sleep. Resident parrots have found themselves in sanctuary from across the U.S. by owners who were not able to care in the manner they felt best, in incidents of neglect, and in times of bereavement. At the landing zone, the parrots are at home.
