Did you know...

A growing number of older Americans, around 15%, are spending their retirement years in poverty. Poverty rates for women are double that of men.

How you can help

Studies show that pets can help the elderly overcome loneliness and depression by providing companionship, affection and a sense of purpose. The cost of veterinary care can be insurmountable to a senior on a limited income, forcing them to surrender their beloved pet. Our goal is to keep the elderly in need and their pets together, for the well-being of the senior and the good of the pet.

About this nonprofit

Our mission is a simple one; to save the lives of companion animals by keeping them out of shelters, (where they face a very uncertain future), and with their families. We achieve our mission through our Pet Food and Veterinary Care Assistance Programs, and our newest program, Meals for the Pets of the Homebound & Elderly. Keeping Pets and Their People Together in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
