Did you know...

In Arizona, 80% of our wildlife depends on riparian corridors for survival. These crucial lands are only 10% of the state, and they are in decline.

How you can help

The tamarisk leaf beetle is nearing the Gila River and will decimate the invasive salt cedars that line the riverbank, while increasing wildfire risk and decreasing wildlife habitat. This could be devastating to the endangered willow flycatcher and threatened yellow-billed cuckoo. Our project will protect riparian habitat by increasing native vegetation in Arizona along the Upper Gila River.

About this nonprofit

The mission of the Gila Watershed Partnership is to protect, restore and enhance the Upper Gila Watershed of Arizona. The objectives of the Gila Watershed Partnership are: to conserve the natural resources and enhance the environment, to increase water quantity and improve water quality, and increase collaboration among partners and neighbors within the state of Arizona.
